Swaton Vintage Day was started in 1994 by a couple of local farmers as a way to showcase their 'Pride and Joy' Vintage Tractors and to raise a bit of money for local causes.

It has expanded over the years to become the extravaganza it now is.

The show now enjoys visitors and publicity from around the World.

The introduction of the WORLD EGG THROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS in 2005 saw a couple of New Zealanders become the First World Champions.

Over the years around 65000 has been raised for local, national and International good causes including : Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, L I V E S, The British Red Cross, McMillan Cancer Support, 'Go For Gold (Radio Lincs), Leukaemic Research, Coeliac Society, Cancer UK, ShelterBox, Children's Hospices and local churches & community centre.

The Show is still run on a voluntary basis by a Committee of locals.
